About Me:
I am an Artist, and have been living in very rural Nova Scotia for 16 years. I am 55 and enjoying this time in my life where my give a s___ is no longer functioning! I love learning. I love the printed and written word on and off line. I write daily. I am generally very passionate about anything creative. Living in a rural area; the boonies where we have to come out of the woods to hunt, the computer enables me to connect with other Artists around the world through the Net.

Why are you interested in Printcasting?
I was very excited to learn about this site! I heard about it over Spark, with Nora Young.
It combines the best of all worlds within the online blogisphere, ( is that word in the dictionary?), and offline printed/written word. I think this is a very creative idea you've come up with and I believe has the capacity to be an expanding way of communicating information now and for the future of social media, not to mention an empowering opportunity for anyone with a passion for reading, writing and being an entrepreneur! Kudos to you for this!
What do you think are the biggest problems to solve with printed newspapers and magazines?
Many newspapers are controlled and monopolized by the wealthy, with vested political interests of the statusquo, without social conscience. There has not been enough opportunity for the average person to be actively involved themselves within this media for a lot of reasons, like monetary, accessibility, and social class.
Magazines for the most part are pricey and within Canada, it is very difficult to compete with the US market. Magazines like, Halifax's, Frank, for instance are few and far between and your site could very well level the playing field, enabling the average person with something to say, about a relevant interest. I believe most newspapers and magazines with few exceptions have lost focus and are philosophically bankrupt.
I know this may sound like a rant from a left winged socialist...I'm not. I do have a strong social conscience and as an Artist, I see things differently, enough said!
