Why are you interested in Printcasting?

Great idea. I've been convinced that the web can help build local, community journalism at low cost and with high quality. This marries that idea with my long-term love of newspapers - I began working for community newspapers in 1977 and worked in them through 1999, when I moved to Israel. This concept is valuable even here in Israel, where there are many niche communities underserved by print publications. For example, there is no daily newspaper for the city of Jerusalem, just weeklies owned by one of the big media companies.

What do you think are the biggest problems to solve with printed newspapers and magazines?

Upfront costs of equipment/machinery and paper/ink costs.
